RESPONSIBILITES:

·         20% Sales (more in lines of client relationship building, technical support assistance)

·         30% commercial opportunity

·         50% Engineer

·         Lead the design, evaluation and acceptance testing efforts on new RF matching networks for semiconductor tool manufacturers.  Work directly with our customer's engineering departments to test, qualify, and determine required modifications during matching network development cycles. 

  • Directly interface with our customers (and potentially our customer's customer) on issues related to existing and new products.
  • Communicate with our customers (business unit engineers) to determine future requirements and opportunities.  Accurately and in a timely fashion relay those requirements to internal product line and technical management staff for consideration. Monitor and report trends in technology at customers and competitors to business management.
  • Manage electronics lab infrastructure (ensure timely instrument calibration, maintain spare parts inventory, identify and request specific equipment as needed, ensure lab environment is clean and safe).  Measure and calibrate RF matching networks at our local facility.
  • Troubleshoot and repair to component level, advanced electronic equipment using basic test equipment.
  • Travel for training, customer interaction and other activities, as required.
  • Perform incoming inspection or acceptance testing of high power RF assemblies and matching networks at our local facility.  Manage the technical elements of the field return process.
  • Assist with special projects as directed by the company.
  • Being able to identify thorough opportunity of business flow and being able to understand support in a commercial realm.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

  • BS degree in engineering or equivalent technical discipline.
  • 5 - 10 years experience and expert knowledge of the semiconductor RF equipment field including impedance matching networks, generators, impedance probes and other related equipment.
  • A working knowledge of basic RF test equipment such as an oscilloscope, voltmeter, network analyzer, spectrum analyzer etc. is required.  Knowledge of MathCAD simulation software considered a definite plus.  A working knowledge of semiconductor processing, manufacturing tools and integrated circuit technology is highly desirable.
  • The candidate must have the ability to work independently, with little supervision. He/she must be effective working in a team environment within a matrix-managed, multinational, corporation. Experience working with European and Asian companies is a definite plus.
  • The candidate must have a suitable attitude, appearance and capability to independently work at customer facilities.
  • The candidate must have the knowledge and skills to work safely around high power plasma equipment, high power RF equipment, and high voltage.
  • Experience with Mathcad and/or other RF simulation software preferred.  Experience with Autocad or other mechanical design software is a plus.  The candidate must have basic command of MS Office software.
  • The candidate must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Additional technical military communications and / or industrial applications of RF power experience are a plus.
